February Report

I am going to write our family newsletter hoping that it will instill a renewed habit we once had. I very much enjoyed hearing from all of you each month even though we had heard parts of it during the month when talking on the phone.
However each of you doesn't get to hear how the others are doing and I would hope that you all could start a new and get back into the habit of writing your news letters again.
I know, many times it is the same old thing over and over again but I for one enjoy even a short note letting the others know what you are up to. If you think it is difficult finding things to write about you should be in our shoes. We don't have kids around to cause excitement in our lives. I guess we should just be put out to pasture.
As for us this has been a very busy time. First, Bob Edwards died on the fourth of the month and since mom and I are the executors of his estate we have had one heck of a lot to do. First of all we had to organize and plan the funeral and now we are busy taking care of his financial matters. With one son in Bangkok and the other not able to take care of himself it has become quite a challenge. Then there were family from all over that we had to notify and take care of. I am sure that I don't want to do this ever again. There were all sorts of problems within the family as well. Ex-wives and grandchildren that haven't been seen for years. Well fortunately that trial is winding down and we will have most of it taken care of soon. Except for the one 55 year old son that I'm going to have to worry about for the rest of his life.
On to more enjoyable things. The weather has modified and we are working diligently in the yard. Boy it is a challenge. Every spare moment we are out in the yard trying our best to get caught up. I think your mom has just about agreed to sell the place and move into something a little smaller. She even saw a place in King City that looked attractive. I won't go that low, at least not yet.
We are so looking forward to a short visit to the east coast this month. Hope we can get things looking a little better by then. We are also looking forward to our cruise this summer. I hope you will all enjoy it. Your mom has sure been working hard on getting it all organized. Just got another bill saying that something had gone up so we better get going soon.
