The northwest in February, brought lots of Ice and snow. We were even held hostage in our house for a few days. That’s the beauty of being retired, no good reason to step out on the icy steps or roads. It was pretty for a few days but I was glad to see it melt away in the rain.
By the 14th the world had brightened up and we invited all the honored
Sisters here for Tea
I had fun getting ready for the event, We had lots of little sandwiches, deserts, and stories to tell.
Anders talked in church, he gave a great talk, and we celebrated with the Bakes.
Here is the missionary and the future missionaries.
The march winds blew in a little early and a dead tree in the Franzkes yards fell into our yard. I guess we were blessed that a tree did not fall on the house. The tree only knocked down a bit of the rotten fence and a maple tree. We have had lots of wind howling about the house. It sings me to sleep at night. After a few days of wind we had lots of debris scattered around the yard.
Anders came to the rescue, he helped clean up the yard and stacked up the wood from the fallen tree. Grandpa built a new Trellis, the old one crashed in the wind. Anders helped grandpa set the new one up.
Anders planted some new cherry trees for us. We hope we have some new cherries by the time Anders gets back from France.
Grandpa has been working hard, we hope it hasn’t been too hard on his back.
We may have some new neighbors soon. The builders have been pulling out the stumps and demolishing Mrs. Thurstons old house. There goes the quiet neighbor hood, and the spooky old house and forest.
The birds continue to keep us entertained.
Goodbye for February. Love you all and wish you could drop in for Sunday dinner now and then. You all are our greatest blessing.
I sure would love to serve you up something good.

Good to see Grandpa out working again, no doubt he will push himself too hard, but then again, what else is new.
Looks like another fun month at your house - good to see Dave up and working again. We wish we were close enough for Sunday dinner, too. :)
