Dear family
Not only am I tardy but for some reason I couldn’t find any pictures on the disk I had inserted in the camera. It was a old one , I used, so I could save my Italy trip for a while.
I will have to rely on my memory and the calendar to report the news and happenings of June. It looks like we spent some time at the beach house trying to see if we could get someone to fix all the leaks. We decided on the contractor we liked, but he can not do anything until October. That’s a little late in the year to start such a project. It’s not raining now so I guess we will put the project on hold for a while. Maybe it will go away.
We watched Tami and Anders run the 1/2 Marathon and attended Ander’s Eagle Court of Honor. Congratulations Anders we are proud that you made the effort to become an Eagle Scout. Keep up the good work.
A window was broken at the Beach House, we are not sure how it happened but we had to take a couple of trips to the beach to get it fixed. The window people took the wrong measurements on the first try. On the second try the window fit and I spent the day cleaning up the cabin and getting it ready for Ron and Brent’s visit.
Congratulation to Chayce on Graduating from High School. How time flies. In no time at all we will be hearing that Autumn is about to graduate. Keep up the good work, all you grandkids, are doing at school.
Our yard was a weedy mess after we neglected it for most of the month of May. Fortunately because of all the rain the weeds were easy to pull. The rainy cool weather keep us from getting the garden in and growing. It looks pretty good now. We are eating a radishes, peas, and broccoli. Maybe we will get some corn if the hot weather of July holds up.
The calendar shows that we keep busy with our seniors with service and activities.
We are hoping that Debbie will soon be better and that all will go well with her Dad.
We send our love to all of you. Love Mom
Surprise, I tried again and was able to import a few pictures from June. Here they are.
The trees are beginning to cover up the school.
Our new Eagle Scout.
Ander’s Mom telling us about Ander’s accomplishments.
Here we are visiting our friends who live in one of the new towers down on the water front in Portland. Their Condo is very nice and they have a great view of the river and the Ross Island bridge. However I’ll be happy with my country house.
The weather is great today, the last few days have been too hot. Love to you all Grandma

I keep waiting to hear about Dad hanging on the side of the beach house on a homemade latter trying to fix the siding himself.
