We will not be sending any pictures of ice and snow from the west. We have had lots of rain and cloudy weather but it has been very mild. So we can’t brag about the snow drifts.
Dad broke down and had cable TV installed this month. We have been watching a lot of old movies, some were as good as I remember back in the fifties. Of course we have watched some of our old favorite TV shows like “All in the family” and “Everyone loves Raymond” The best part is watching with out all the commercials.
Looks like I liked that show??? Now we need to branch out and watch some of the new stuff. Send us your recommendations.
I have been having fun with my new sewing machine. I’ve been doing a little mending, and I even made myself a new skirt. Judy Rump came one afternoon and showed me how to do some paper piecing. Now I have a new hobby.
Here I am trying to take a picture in black and white, Ian is number 2 in the middle. I need to read and find out how to use all the different things my camera will do.
Anders and Ian have kept us entertained at a some of their ball games. Wish we could stop in to see all the activities the rest of you are doing.
After years of begging Dad, he finally decided to cut down the two birch trees that were blocking my view of the foothills.
Then comes the chipping and the wood stacking.
Now for the aftermath. Dad got a little careless with the chainsaw and put a slice in his leg.
I am glad he was wearing some stout jeans. So far he still has his leg and I think he might live.
Here is dad getting ready to cut the tree in to logs for the fire.
This has been a quiet month. Time to get busy and do something exciting. Love you and look forward to reading your blogs.
Love Mom and Dad

Glad Dave still has his leg. :)
Time to take the chain saw away from dad.
Why do I find it kind of funny when Dad hurts himself. I guess because it is no real suprise. That crazy man!
I'm going on record right now. Dad will meet his demise via the chain saw or chipper. I'm willing to take bets.
