Spring has had a hard time arriving. Our patio was covered over with moss. I had to dig out the bricks.
It took me a few days, but now it doesn’t look like part of the lawn.
The trip to the tulip farm which usually takes place in April was put off until May.
The tulips were beautiful. Tom and Dad had a ducky race and Sheryl and I picked out some
tulips bulbs to be sent to us in the fall. We should have some color next spring.
Most of the month was spent hoping that the rain would stop and air would warm up enough to spend some time out of doors.
Ellie wowed us at her dance recital. Doesn’t she look graceful.
Ian did a great job at his Piano recital. It is always fun to watch his fingers fly.
Our big day on June 19th was great. We were directed to a court room on the 16th floor of
the court house. Luckily it was one of the two sunny days we had in May. Portland looked
beautiful.
The court room was full. The 75 of us to be sworn in were called to be seated in the front of the court room.
It was a colorful group. Dad and I were the only Canadians.
We were instructed to stand as our names were called and to state the country of our original citizenship.
Russia, Nigeria, Mexico, Somalia, Ukraine and many other countries were called out. I enjoyed the
experience. They took time to help us register to vote. Now we will have to get serious about being citizens.
Well now we all belong to the same country. God bless America.
Our trip to Utah was very enjoyable. We stopped in Twin Falls for the night. In the morning we drove out to the Shoshone Falls. What a treat, the river was full and the sun was shining.
On our way back to the Highway we drove past the Twin Falls temple.
In Utah we enjoyed being with Jeff’s and Bryce’s families. The kids are growing taller and more handsome.
Monday we had a picnic in Jeff’s garage with all the Riries in the area. Brent and JoEllen, Jason and his new wife, Ron and Afton, Kent and Lori and their son Jared joined us. Jared is leaving on a mission to Sweden soon.
Grandpa and I took a trip to the Provo Cemetery.
Lottie Stringham is my Grandmother.
Isaac Wilde is my great great Grandfather. William and Mary Chittenden are my great great grandparents.
June 1st was the big day for Alex. As you can see by all the ropes and collar he did very well.
Thanks Alex for inviting us to come and watch you Graduate. We loved the day.
That’s it for June. Have a happy summer every one.
Love Grandma and Grandpa.

Glad we got to spend part of May with you!
Congratulations on your citizenship, now its time to get busy and start voting the bums out of office.
Two things on my list to do next time I head to Utah. Shoshone Falls and the Provo Cemetary. Glad that you are part of our lives.
