Is March really finished? I feel like my life is moving much to fast. Does that mean I am having fun? My calendar is full of things, but my camera was pretty empty. I’m looking forward to seeing all of the family’s adventures. Megan in New York city, Alysha at the prom, Rob and Chayce in Bon Aire and Tami in Hawaii. Readers please check their blogs for all the pictures and real fun.
Here is our wet Patio , and dad using the ladders to get the water running down the drain instead of pooling on the bricks.
Snow in March, our first and last snow storm of the winter.
We were among the few fans that watched Anders and Ellie race at the track meet. Sorry they ran too fast and I missed them. Poor kids sat in the rain between races for hours. We had to leave early to run to watch Ian’s band concert.
The wind and rain has been bad down at the coast. We lost many shingles and the copper strip on the ridge of roof is standing up. The roofer says we need to replace the shingles. I hope we can get him working on the project soon????
We did have an adventure on the way back from the Beach. As we were driving through Dundee I hit a pot hole in the road, it gave us quite a jar. We stopped in Newburg for a bite to eat, when we returned to the car, we noticed that the tire looked pretty flat. Dave thought we could drive up the street to the tire shop. We soon determined that that was not possible. Dad opened the trunk to put on the spare. NO Jack, NO wrench!! It was six o’clock, I called the shop, they were kind enough to come to our rescue. The tire man determined that our spare was also flat. He filled the spare and we drove to the shop. A couple of men stayed at the shop to help us out. We had a happy ending to this story. Our tire was under guarantee because it was ruined by a road hazard. Fortunately they had ONE tire left in the shop that matched the tire that was ruined. We drove on home feeling pretty lucky. No cost for the tire or the rescue.
To keep myself busy I made this little quilt for Ruth Shupe’s first great grandchild. Ruth is 95, she had one son, and one grandchild who took her time getting married and having a child. Needless to say Ruth is pretty excited about the baby. She is off to Chicago in a few days to greet the new baby. Any way it was fun to make and I think it turned out pretty cute.
Connie Jackson and Pat Mead[Wright] took a cooking vacation in San Miguel Mexico. They invited a few couples and cooked us dinner. The dinner was good and we had a good time visiting and eating.
Someone sent me these charming pictures of the prom. I’m sure you can pick out the beauty that belongs to us.
Here is the king of the castle eating his Saturday night dinner in his favorite chair with his handy clicker. It’s a good thing that I operate the camera.

Rain in Oregon, go figure....
Glad you posted some pictures of the South Jordan group, otherwise we'd never know they were alive.
