December Joy

At last I have my pictures moved from my I pad to my computer and  my camera has been found!!! Thank goodness, it’s easier to down load my pictures from the camera.

Thanks to all of you we had a wonderful Christmas Holiday.  It was gratifying to visit all of you and enjoy your company and feel the love that is present in all of your homes.

We started the season following Ian around to listen to the Encore choir.  It makes me happy to see my grandchildren singing and celebrating the season.  Sorry we can’t be everywhere to enjoy everyone’s performances.

Making ginger bread houses is always lots of fun.

Tami treated us to a performance of “A little Princess” Thanks for the fun.

Soon we were on our way to Arizona.  We spent a couple of days with Brent and JoEllen and feasted on Grapefruit and oranges from their trees.  mmm good.  Brent treated us to ride around their lake and we enjoyed sitting in the sun on their patio.

Rob brought us to his house on the 24th,  that evening we drove to the airport to pick up Chayce.  It was so great to see him, he is the same fun fellow.  Kim had a beautiful Christmas eve dinner ready for us when we got home.  Brandon was home and it was so wonderful to be  with the whole family.

Chayce celbrated by jumping into the pool!!!  He didn’t stay very long.

We loved soaking in the Arizona sunshine.  Rob and Kim took us to a nature park.  The park works to return injured animals back to their wild habitat.  Some animals, the ones we saw , can not be returned, they have become too humanized.  The big cats cougars, were beautiful. I would have loved to run my fingers through their thick coats.   Wolves, coyotes',foxes, porcupines, and all the rest of the local animals and birds made the afternoon very interesting.  Thanks for the trip Rob and Kim.

Payback time for Grandpa.

WE had a good time visiting, playing games and enjoying each others company.

Tuesday evening we were put on the plane and greeted by Bryce in Salt Lake City.  We found Megan looking good and feeling much better after her second jaw operation.  Devin, the college freshman looking handsome, a boy no longer, he is ready to take on the world, and he charmed us with his songs.  Seth was busy with his friends and his new cat Frankie. Autumn has grown tall, a little girl no longer.  We followed her to the church gym and she demonstrated her new dance, she works hard, she is amazing, full of grace.

New Years day, Jeff and family joined us for Chulupa,  games and putting together the puzzle Pi.

Alex introduced us to his friend Aylesha E.

Our last stop was at Jeff’s house.

Do you remember how much fun you can have with a box?  The box for Jeff and Debbie’s new bedroom furniture provided the fun for Alex and Brittany.  They built a fort complete with Christmas lights and furnishings.  A good cave for Patches and Brittany.

Sadly Alysha and Alex headed back to BYU Sunday Evening, Monday morning Brittany was back to school and Jeff off to work.  Our time was short but we loved being with everyone.

Tuesday Ron and Afton drove down to visit, we had lunch at the Olive Garden and they drove back home.  When they arrived home, Ron walked out to get the mail and tripped as he was coming into the house. He hurt his head and ended up with a bloody nose, not good when you are taking blood thinners.  Anyway he survived.

Tuesday night Jeff dropped us off at the air port and we arrived safely back home.

We had a wonderful Christmas vacation, thanks to everyone that gave us lots of good memories.

We are blessed with an amazing family.  We love you all.

Love Mom and Dad.
