April in Oregon

More house hunting keeps us busy and a little frustrated.  There is not a lot of houses on the market and they all seem to have a “sale Pending” sign hung up before we even have  time to think if this is the house for us.  In the mean time we are not sure just when we will need to move out of 14920 SW 133rd.  So far the house we know will be perfect for us has not made its appearance.

We were busy saying good bye to Ellie, family and friends gathered to wish her well.

Grandpa and I took everyone to a Cuban place for lunch.  We thought Cuban food should be some what similar to Dominican Republic food.

The appetizer, plantain or cooked bananas.

Lots of beans and rice and Dad ordered some weird stew.

The sun was shining, a beautiful day in East Portland.

Ellie came to spend the day with us one last time before she leaves us.  We are going to miss her.

Grandpa and I came to drive Ellie to the airport.  Ellie was packed ready to go.  A little ping pong helped to settle every ones jitters  before leaving.

It took us an hour and 1/2 to drive to the airport, the freeway was only creeping along.

Good bye hugs, and Ellie making her way, for the flight to the Dominican Republic.  She flew to Salt Lake, on to New York and finally to Santo Domingo.

The end of the month and my turn to turn Ugly.  It gets worse, but hopefully this bit of surgery will open up my eyes and  I will be able to see all of you better, and my eyes will not be half shut in all the pictures.   It has been a week since I had this procedure and I still only go out in public only with my sun glasses.

Love all of you, I love your blogs and feel so blessed to have such wonderful family.

Love Grandma
