As loyal BYU fans our trip with the Bakes to Seattle to see BYU play Seattle was a highlight. The weather was perfect and the game exciting. We watched BYU beat UCLA, but the game was ho hum, after we got a good lead. I hope we are able to keep cheering for a winning team. Dad just reported that BYU is listed in the top ten now. "GO TEAM"
Michelle we enjoyed the great music from your choir, we were a little disappointed that we didn't get to see you very often. The cameraman focused on the organist and the left side of the choir, however we did find you during the first song. I enjoyed the whole conference. I took a car load of senior ladies with me, they loved the conference and the supper afterwards.
We have a new visitor in our garden. He is a cute little gray rabbit. Why don't you kids e-mail me a name for him. I hope he will stay around for awhile.
I talked Dad into taking the camper to the dump. We have talked about doing the deed for some time now but kept putting off the job. I think Dad had some sentimental attachment to the old rig. I was afraid the rain would come and we wouldn't be able to drive the truck out of the back yard. Well it turned out to be good timing. The jacks had begun to rust and I was afraid Dad would get smashed before we got it safely on the truck. It took us all morning to get it loaded up.
Finally we had the old beast loaded up, we ate our lunch and climbed aboard for our last trip. Then I got sentimental; all the memories came flooding back. I could hear the tapping on the window to the cab, and see the arms reaching out from the top bed. How you kids ever survived I do not know. I appreciated all the hard work dad did to get the camper loaded and secured for all those camping trips. Do you remember Rob and Dad changing a tire in the rain as we headed hopefully to the mountains? I remember stuffing ever nook and cranny with food and all the things we would need. You kids each had your own spot to store your clothes and toys. I remember it all fondly, the campfires, the hiking, the long journeys, and hope you do too.
Finally we had the old camper at the dump, all jacked up and ready to drive the truck away. The truck refused to start. Dad pushed the truck forward away from the camper, still it refused to start.
We had to get help to get it started. Dad drove away quickly, he did not want to see the camper come crashing down off it stilts. Fortunately we made it home. Maybe the truck will be the next thing to find it's final resting place.
Last week we took a walk in refuge by the tuwalitin It is a great place to see lots of birds.. Maybe some of you would like to walk there when you come to visit

First one up Mom! Great Job. Don't remember the flat tire, but I do rememeber lots of fun time in the camper.
It is sad to see the old thing go. It has lots of memories, Snoopy thumping her tail huddled on the top hoping she would go. Climbing in through the top window when the door got locked and many fun trips.
