July and August

Dear Family
This is my second attempt to publish a blog. My first one was ready to go and I decided to add one more picture. I added the picture and lost most of my letter.

I was disappointed in my pictures from the trip to Alaska. I'm glad the rest of you have great cameras and know how to use them. Thanks Debbie for the ones you left on my computer. For the rest of September I left my camera at home and didn't get many pictures. I'll try to reform???? I would love some more pictures from any of you.

We volunteerd to help with the Hood to Coast run. Dad directed traffic, saved a few runners from being hit and suffered calmly the wrath of a few drivers that were held up in traffic. Ellie and I directed the cars to parking spots and out of the parking lot.

We spent a few days down at the beach house fixing and painting the decks and cutting up the dead branches in the yard. Luckily Anders came along with us and was a big help. He is a good painter and helper.

The rest of the month was spent running the seniors to the doctors and visiting. We had a big party at Maurine's house. She has a lovely garden and invites the seniors to her house for a BBQ every summer. It is nice to have generous friends like her.

Russ and Connie Jackson came home so we went to a party to Welcome them home. We also had them talk and show slides at a fireside for our seniors.

Dad and I had our dinner group at our house. Tami gave me a recipe for Thai food and everyone enjoyed the dish. I was a little nervous because I hadn't cooked it before but it was delicious.

Dad stomach pain returned and has been quite bad. I have been working hard to keep him on the medicine in hopes that it will keep him calm and reduce the pain.

Now for a few pictures,

Enlarge this photo and you may see the hummingbird in my garden. Let me know if you can find it.

Here are a few big boys playing Basket ball

Love to all of you. The end of september is near. talk to you then. Love Grandma Thanks for all of your letters and blogs.

I love you post and was glad to help you get it online tonight even if you beat me to September's update.

I loved to watch the big boys play basketball on our family reunion. I guess what I loved most was watching our old boys trying to keep up with the big boys. How does life change so fast? And how did we get so lucky to have each other. Thanks for being such great parents.

I love you,

Tami

Glad to see you finally got this up. Now if you can just get my sister (who started this whole thing), to get hers up to date.

You can't blame your pictures on the camera! You have a good camera, it must be user error!
