february 2009

February always speeds by, and I can feel March melting away and by that comment I am not infering that it is getting warm around here. But I must not complain, we did have a few sunny days. We have been busy as usual, lots of activities to keep us happy and involved

Ian invited us to watch his wrestlling matches, and to his birthday party.

He worked hard at blowing out his candles. Anders and Ellie invited us to watch them play basket ball.

The senior ladies all came to the house for a Valentine tea. The ladies all wore hats and told a story about their hats. We saw lots of crazy hats and heard some fun stories. The ladies sipped their tea and feasted on tiny snadwiches, scones and little desserts.

Last Friday some of the kids from our ward who go to Tualitin Senior High School starred in a play. They did "Beauty and the Beast". It was very well done. We took the Seniors, and they were glad they made the effort to come out.

Joanne and Robert came to see us for a few days. It was fun having them here. They wanted to go to the beach house so we lets them have a good nights rest and then set out. The weather at the coast was cloudy but warm, we had a nice time exploring the head lands.

The weather sent us some nice sunshine on Friday so we traveled south to Depoe Bay and to the light house, we did a little shopping and saw the sights. This bald Eagle stayed perched long enough for us to snap some pictures. Saturday we headed north to Pacific City for some seafood and of course some Tillimook ice cream before we headed for home.

After Joanne and Robert left we had another snow storm. Will winter go away? I'm trying to think spring. I ordered a couple of peach trees for the garden and bought some more blue berry bushes. Dad helped me plant them today. Here is dad all worn out from working in the garden. We love you and hope your all doing well
Love Mom and Dad

It looks like you guys are sure keeping busy! I agree with you about being ready for spring - it snowed a little last night here and we all were disappointed to see the white stuff this morning!

I'm so glad that we get to be part of your life. That is so cool that you got to see a bald eagle at the coast. I'm looking forward to going in a few weeks.

I think it should be a rule that all pictures of Grandpa must be with him holding an ice cream cone. It seem right somehow.
