I just looked back at my April calendar to see what we have been up too. Looks like we helped a few people move to smaller houses. Do you think that is a hint for us to start looking? After slaving away at this yard I’m beginning to think that it would be a good idea, but then again I sure love the yard and being out of doors. Maybe another year.
The best part of the month was traveling to Arizona to visit Rob and family, and a few days with Brent and JoEllen. The weather cooperated with us and we had a very pleasant week.
Rob and Kim live in a very beautiful part of Scottsdale, It was spring and the desert was alive with color, I think I could enjoy living here this time of year.
Their home is beautiful. Their house backs up to a golf course with a stretch of desert as a buffer.
Their view includes Pinnacle peak.
This is the view of their pool from the crows nest, a little sitting area above their patio. The desert was alive with birds and all kinds of animals. It was a very interesting place to sit and observe.
Relaxing and enjoying a visit with Chayce. We were so glad to see him. He is a super young man. Rob loves to skim his pool, he is teaching Chayce how to do it.
We were able to see Brandon the first night we arrived. Rob picked Brandon up from Campus and took us all out for Pizza. It was wonderful to see and visit with Chayce and Brandon. Brandon is still the fun loving kid.
The desert put on a good show for us. Dad and I enjoyed walking around the neighborhood and to visit the botanical gardens with Rob. Thanks Rob for all the great drives you took us on.
Yes they have rivers in Arizona. Thanks Rob and Kim for giving us a wonderful visit. We plan to come again.
Brent and Jo Ellen invited the clan for dinner. Robin’s Jimmy and wife and Chayce helped us enjoy the evening.
Brent took us on an adventure to see Biosphere 2, next to Tucson. Here we are getting lathered up on sun block before entering the giant Glass House.
The glass house was built by some billionaire to see if man could live, eat and breath in such a place. A number of participants spent two years locked up inside, growing all their own food, and taking care of the facility. It was very interesting, but I’m not sure if I would want to take part in the experiment. The University of Arizona conducts experiments there now that they are responsible for the glass house.
Brent and JoEllen, thanks for showing us a good time.
We were delighted to have Kevin and Alisha come for a visit. They took a few years to get here, but hopefully they will want to come again and bring the rest of the family.
The coast was beautiful, we are having a rare warm dry spring in Oregon, better come and visit while it lasts.
Love to all of you. Mary Lou and Dave

It was great to have you visit us in NJ. Your chairs are waiting for you at the side of the pool.
Looks like a great month enjoying the warm Arizona sunshine. :)
